Vivekananda Birth Anniversary fete inaugurated

KOCHI: Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) international president Ashok Singhal inaugurated the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda, in Kochi on Sunday by offering flowers at the Vivekananda statue near the Ernakulam boat jetty. The celebration is being organised by the Kerala and Lakshadweep units of the Bharat Vikas Parishad. It includes various programmes for school and college students such as extempore speech, essay writing and seminars.

VHP international secretary Praveen Togadia, Dinesh Chandra, K P Harikumar, Bharat Vikas Parishad Kerala and Lakshadweep secretary P V Athikayan and K N Kartha were present.
