KOCHI: Reliance World, in association with robo.in <http://robo.in>, a division of ThinkLABS founded by IIT Bombay alumni, will launch ROBOCAMP™ on April 19 at Reliance World store in Kadavanthra. This summer camp is for students of classes IV to XII and will introduce them to the wonderful world of robotics. The first phase of the camp will continue till April 24. Subsequent batches of ROBOCAMP will be conducted in Reliance World stores in Kadavanthra and Palarivattom between April 26 and May 29. The camp intends to teach students the principles of science and mathematics through robotics, and make learning fun-filled and interactive. Robotics allows young minds to develop invaluable skills such as problem-solving, logical reasoning, critical thinking and creativity.Spread over six days and certified by the Indian Innovators Association (IIA), ROBOCAMP ™ provides hands-on exposure to robot programming using hardware and software.Participants can spend two hours every day learning how to build and programme robots using sophisticated robotic kits. Depending on the type of programme they choose, children would be able to take home the robot they built.Participants of ROBOCAMP ™ would also be eligible to enter the National Robotics Competition (TRICKS) to be held at IIT Bombay. The champion will win a trip to NASA.Each batch comprises not more than 10 students and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
