Cusat launches new website

KOCHI: A simple website which can cater to the needs of the consumers in a convenient way is the need of the hour, Cusat ViceChancellor Ramachandran Thekkedath has said. He was speaking after inaugurating the new website of Cusat. The new website, www.cusat.ac.in, has been designed using the powerful ERP package in the free and opensource segment called ERP5. In the ERP package, all web pages, web section, downloadable files, images etc are stored in object oriented databases with a well defined work flow.

The package is absolutely free. ProViceChancellor Godfrey Louis presided over the function. The website is controlled by the Centre for Information Resources of Cusat. The university is running a website since 1993 and the current website was designed in 2000.
