BANGALORE: The sudden downpour on Thursday evening brought some respite to people but at the same time played havoc in the city. According to the information from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) control room, over 15 trees were uprooted and three cars were damaged in Thursday's rain.

Huge tree branches fell on three cars and damaged them at Corporation Circle, HAL 2nd Stage and ESI Hospital in Indiranagar.

No injuries or casualties were reported due to the crushing of cars.

One girl was injured at Jeevan Bhimanagar when the branch of an uprooted tree hit her while falling. She was playing near her residence after the heavy showers when the incident happened. The injured girl was taken to a nearby private hospital.

Due to clogging and uprooting of trees, traffic flow went haywire on Old Madras Road, Indiranagar, Ambedkar Layout and Old Byappanahalli.

Slow moving traffic was reported on almost all the arterial roads like Malleswaram Road, Avenue Road, BVK Iyengar Road, Majestic, Hudson Circle, Kempegowda Road, Nrupatunga Road, JC Road, MG Road and Brigade Road.
